If something has characterized this 2020 in the film scene, it has been the avalanche of delays suffered in the premieres. So it was a pleasant surprise when it was announced a month ago that “Chaos Walking”, which had been stranded and adrift for years, was going to hit theaters imminently. Chaos Walking release date pushed back film stars two of today’s biggest young stars: Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley. However, the production was causing problems and ended up being one of those great Hollywood projects that aim to end on deaf ears.
Last November the first preview of the film was released, definitely scheduling it for sometime in 2021. Now, just a few weeks later, the date has already been set. As the studio has announced, “Chaos Walking” will hit theaters on March 5, 2021, just 2 months later than the last release date that had been made official in the past. It seems that at last everything is ready for the film to meet the audience.
“Chaos Walking” will be set in an apocalyptic and dystopian future in which women have disappeared because of a germ that, in addition, infected all men with “noise”. However, Todd Hewitt (Holland) will one day be in for a surprise when he finds Viola Eade (Ridley). Together they will have to solve a lot of questions about that life they thought they knew, thanks among other things to a map of the New World that Hewitt kept.
